West Virginia Blues Man
Nat Reese
Nat
Reese is an enigma, a Renaissance Man. He was trained as a cabinetmaker,
worked as a silk screen artist and became enraptured with media
technology. But he makes the foundation of his life the artistic
pursuits of music and painting.
Here
is an amalgamation of styles from different periods and regions.
Nat pays tribute to swing, jazz, country and blues in his music.
Ultimately, it is, as Nat says, The OId Way of play. This is the
music of the mining and coal towns of rural West Virginia, Virginia
and Kentucky.
Each
tune is performed with a warmth and tenderness that is a virtual
mirror of the soul of this treasured Appalachian performer.
