Bobby Taylor
West
Virginia fiddler Bobby Taylor recorded
the first dozen of these tracks with Mark Payne and John Preston
in 1988. He returned to the studio nine years later and recorded
the last four cuts on the album in 1997 with James Summers and David
O'Dell.
Bobby
dedicates the album to "my friends who, down through the years,
have requested a recording of my music. Special thanks to Mr. and
Mrs. Roger Exline."
Bobby
plays fiddle, but also mandolin lead on the album. Payne plays banjo
and guitar, Preston plays guitar, bass and mandolin chop, Summers
plays guitar and O'Dell plays banjo.
