Fiddle and The Flood
Joe Dobbs
Joe
Dobbs has always loved those standards that we all grew up hearing
on the radio, from "Star Dust" and "Georgia on My
Mind" to "Mack the Knife" and "Ain't Misbehavin'."
So on this album, backed by members of his band, The
1937 Flood, Joe stretches out and has a ball.
Joe
Dobbs was born in Mississippi, where his grandfather also was a
fiddler. Joe moved to West Virginia in 1967 and has been involved
in folk music there for 30 years as a fiddler, recording artist,
instructor and lecturer.
Appearing
with Joe on this album are Charles Bowen on guitar, Doug Chaffin
on bass, Dave Peyton on Autoharp, Chuck Romine on banjo and Sam
St. Clair on harmonica.
