Duets
Robin Kessinger
and Cathy Pearson
Cathy
Pearson credits her grandmother for getting her started on the
fiddle. And "I would especially like," she says, "to
thank Dad and Mom for taking me everywhere to play so that I would
keep interested in music, and for not letting me quit when I was
inclined to do so."
Here
Cathy teams up with West Virginia flatpicking institution Robin
Kessinger for a dozen new and traditional duets, from the Clark
Kessinger standard "Soppin' the Gravy" to Jim and Jesse
McReynolds' "Dixie Hoedown" to the traditional "Yellow
Rose Waltz."
